Artist, Musician & DA! Co-Founder


Murat Bulut Aysan is an artist and musician based in London and Istanbul. He graduated from Central St. Martins College of Art and Deisgn in 2008 with a BA in Fine Art. His works range from painting, drawing and installation to Live Art interventions and one-off situationist performances.

Murat is one of the original founding members of DA!, along with Simon and Bogna McAndrew and Stephanie Smith, having squatted and performed in the first DA! at 43 Kensington High Street in the summer of 2006. He has also written several essays on 'Art-Squatting' and the performative elements contained with it.
